What's the difference between borosilicate glass and plastic jars?

Borosilicate glass is a much safer option for food than plastic for many reasons. Any kind of plastic, even those labelled 'BPA-free', contains chemicals and have been proven by scientists to be harmful to human health. Furthermore, borosilicate glass is safe for warm blends, whereas this should never be handled in a plastic blender as it poses a risk of toxic leaching into food.

How durable is the Aura Borosilicate Glass Jar? Will it break easily?

The AuraXtreme™ Borosilicate Glass is engineered to be more 5X more durable than plastic and safe for warm temperatures. Unlike regular glass, it's 3X more lightweight and doesn't break easily.

Can I blend cold and warm ingredients using the Aura Borosilicate Glass Jar?

Yes. Borosilicate glass offers remarkable resistance to thermal shock, making it well-suited for both cold and warm ingredients without the worry of cracking. As a guideline, we recommend blending at temperatures up to 80 °C for assured safety.
